Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Inventory Specialist to join our team at Wesko Locks. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining accurate inventory levels to support manufacturing operations. This role ensures timely availability of materials, minimizes stock discrepancies, and supports production efficiency through effective inventory control practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Material Handling:
- Receive, sort, and store material shipments from suppliers.
- Fulfill material requests for production areas promptly and accurately.
- Maintain organized and safe storage areas.
- Inventory Management:
- Perform regular cycle counts and reconcile discrepancies.

- Maintain accuracy of inventory database in collaboration with supply chain staff
- Coordination & Reporting:
- Collaborate with production, purchasing, and logistics teams to forecast material needs.
- Prepare and submit inventory reports, including stock levels, usage trends, and variances.
- Identify obsolete or slow-moving inventory and recommend disposition.
- Maintenance
- Maintain charge/fuel levels on reach trucks and forklifts
- Compliance & Continuous Improvement:
- Ensure adherence to company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance inventory accuracy and efficiency
- Other responsibilities as required.
The most competitive candidates will have:
- Experience: 1–3 years in inventory control, stockroom, or warehouse within manufacturing (preferred)
- Attributes: Detail orientation, problem‑solving, teamwork, and clear communication.
- Eligibility: Legally entitled to work in Canada
