ASSA ABLOY is looking to add an experienced Shipping and Receiving professional to the team. This role will be based 100% onsite out of our Rocky Mountain Service Center or regional manufacturing and distribution center based in Aurora, Colorado.

What would you do as our Shipping and Receiving – Level 1 Team Member?
As a key member of our Shipping & Receiving team, you'll help keep our operations running smoothly by ensuring materials move in and out of the facility accurately, efficiently, and on time. From managing inventory and supporting on-time deliveries to collaborating across departments, your attention to detail and teamwork will directly support our commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.
You would also:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments to verify quantity, quality, and condition of goods, ensuring they meet order specifications and quality standards.
- Accurately match items against packing slips and maintain detailed records of any discrepancies, damaged, or missing goods to inform corrective actions.
- Transport received items safely to designated storage areas using forklifts, pallet jacks, reach trucks, or hand trucks, maintaining an organized and damage-free warehouse.
- Store incoming products in proper locations for efficient retrieval and contribute to inventory accuracy by participating in periodic cycle counts and audits.
- Work closely with the Customer Service Department to resolve any shipment discrepancies and support smooth operations.
- Prepare outgoing shipments by properly packing, labeling, and documenting goods to meet customer requirements and shipping regulations.
- Ensure all outgoing items meet quality standards and customer specifications to minimize returns and improve satisfaction.
- Determine appropriate and cost-effective shipping methods while maintaining sufficient inventory of shipping materials to avoid processing delays.
- Provide timely updates on shipment status to support proactive communication with customers.
- Collaborate with Production and Operations teams to improve warehouse organization, shipping/receiving workflows, and overall efficiency.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment by following all housekeeping and safety procedures.
- Promote a safe and efficient working environment by maintaining regular housekeeping and adhering to safety standards.
- Assure compliance with federal, state, local and corporate policies, regulations, AADG programs and policies and the ASSA ABLOY Code of Conduct.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
The Skills and Experience you need:
- Minimum of 1 year of recent experience in shipping/receiving, warehouse operations, or a related role
- Recent hands-on experience operating sit-down forklifts, stand-up reach trucks, pallet jacks, and hand trucks
- Familiarity with ERP systems and scan gun technology; experience using shipping software preferred
- Strong multitasking, time management, and organizational skills
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal; ability to read, write, and interpret documents in English
- Basic math skills, including the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to follow written, oral, or diagram instructions
Physical Demands & Work Environment:
- Must be able to stand, walk, and use hands frequently; regularly lift, carry, and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Vision requirements include close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
- The noise level in the work environment is typically moderate

PAY: $22.50 - $24.50 per hour, depending on experience.
