Senior Lead Engineer

You will be working with cross-functional and remote development teams throughout the organization. Overview

As part of these responsibilities, the person will work with the Cloud and Mobile Development Teams, Enterprise Architects, and enable best practices and cloud patterns, framework for the applications in Chennai.

 

Required Skills

 

  • AWS Certified Developer is highly desirable
  • Familiarity with Jenkins, Maven, Jira, GitHub/GitLab, JUnits or similar build, development and test tools required
  • Experience developing SOAP/RESTFul Web Services required
  • Experience in cloud applications and/or micro-services development on Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, and/or Google Cloud Platform
  • Experience and passion for working with diverse Agile development techniques: Kanban, Time Box Sprints, User Stories construct and estimation, TDD, BDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Continuous Delivery, Automated Testing and delivering best in class and high-quality products
  • Experience with micro-services architecture, design patterns, and frameworks with an eye towards scalability, automation, resiliency, high availability and user experience
  • Proficient in AI with hands-on experience in leading AI tools and frameworks
  • Understanding of architectural principles involved in SaaS and multi-tenant platforms highly desirable
  • Experience SQL databases, ODBC, and Hibernate a plus.
  • Skilled in other programming languages and frameworks such as Spring, Python/Perl and C/C++ or others is highly desirable
  • Responsive web design a plus
  • Track record of continued and recent education in newer technologies, including training, certifications, conferences, user groups, self-study, etc.

 

 

Experience and Responsibilities:

 

  • Bachelor’s or higher degree in Computer Science or related fields
  • 10 - 12 years of experience programming in Java required with at least 5 years leading programmers through the entire SDLC in an Agile environment
  • Work closely with offshore team developers to guide and develop best in class web applications
  • Perform code reviews
  • Lead the development of complex programs spanning multiple teams across the organization
  • Provide technical oversight to the development process including reviewing the technical design, frameworks and the deployment architecture
  • Research, identify and introduce new technologies, patterns that can elevate the platform
  • Develop proof of concepts to quickly identify gaps and technical challenges prior to development
  • Provide technical guidance to offshore developers to help build effective engineering practices and grow their technical skills
