We are looking for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer with strong CAD design experience tasked with designing and implementing custom solutions adapted to diversity of HID equipment across the globe.
The incumbent will be part of Manufacturing Engineering dept and focused on improving flexibility, productivity and efficiency of HID production lines.
The assigned projects will relate to Credentials Provisioning Equipment, Tests equipment, sub-parts assembly & lamination, material preparation or antennas winding & bonding activities in front-end factories.

IDT has experienced significant growth in the last 5 years – both organically and through M&A with 13 acquisitions done since 2019 – and is considered one of HID’s “growth engines”.
Responsibilities:
- Define, design, and optimize automated production processes tailored to project-specific requirements, in close collaboration with Manufacturing and Production teams
- Create detailed 3D models, 2D fabrication drawings and pneumatic diagram
- Specify mechanical components, materials, surface finishes and treatments
- Conduct risk assessments and ensure compliance with machine safety standards
- Oversee the full project lifecycle, from requirements gathering to FAT/SAT validation
- Maintain accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs) and cost estimates within ERP systems
Experience and Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Automation
- 5–10 years of hands-on experience in developing and optimizing automation systems
- Proficient in 3D CAD software such as Inventor or SolidWorks
- Strong expertise in metal and plastic part design, tolerance analysis, machining and fabrication
- Strong knowledge of industrial pneumatics, electrical systems, and motion control technologies
- Experienced in machine assembly, fine adjustment and troubleshooting
