This is a full-time, on-site position based at our Carlstadt, New Jersey manufacturing facility … where innovation meets precision in custom commercial doors and frames.

What would you do as our Order Processing Manager?
You will lead a team of Order Detailers and CNC programmers focused on engineered-to-order products, product improvement initiatives, and new product development. You’ll ensure Operations is equipped with the technical support and resources needed to deliver quality products … on time and to spec. You’ll be at the center of technical excellence, team development, and process improvement.
You will also:
- Lead, coach, and grow a cross-functional team of Order Detailers and CNC Programmers to support the business
- Support capacity planning, hiring, and training to meet business needs
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
- Oversee order processing KPIs, drive productivity, and champion quality
- Collaborate with engineering, production, purchasing, and scheduling teams
- Implement SOPs, individual scorecards, and performance evaluation plans
- Represent Order Processing in cross-functional issue-resolution sessions
- Maintain NCR (Non-Conformance Report) approvals and drive problem-solving through the Thrive system
- Ensure order packets, part requirements, and material planning are aligned for production
- Promote and foster a safe and positive working environment, in alignment with the ASSA ABLOY Code of Conduct and Health & Safety Policy.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
The Skills and Experience you’ll bring:
- 5+ years of leadership experience in a technical or manufacturing setting
- Minimum of 3 years working with configured products in a made-to-order environment
- Solid background in manufacturing (hollow metal experience is a plus)
- Strong understanding of architectural drawings, fabrication, and production workflows
- Proficiency with CAD platforms, ERP/MRP systems, and engineering documentation
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally across engineering, production, and customer-facing teams.
