Business Intelligence Specialist.

YOUR TASKS

We are looking for a Business Intelligence Specialist to strengthen our BI team by combining data engineering and data analysis expertise. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and maintaining data pipelines, ensuring data integrity, and developing insightful reports and dashboards that drive decision-making across the organization. You will collaborate with various stakeholders, including data analysts, data engineers, and business teams, to transform raw data into actionable intelligence.

 

What You’ll Do

  • Data Pipeline Development: Design, build, and maintain efficient ETL processes to extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various sources.
  • Data Quality & Governance: Implement data validation, monitoring, and governance best practices to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Business Intelligence & Reporting: Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations using tools like Power BI, Tableau, or Grafana.
  • Data Analysis & Insights: Perform deep data analysis, identifying trends, patterns, and business opportunities to support strategic decisions.
  • Collaboration & Stakeholder Communication: Work closely with business teams to understand their data needs and deliver actionable insights.
  • Performance Optimization: Continuously improve data workflows, query performance, and data warehouse structures for efficiency.
  • Innovation & Improvement: Stay up to date with emerging BI technologies and best practices to enhance our analytics capabilities.

 

YOUR PROFILE

  • Min. 3 years of experience in BI, Data Engineering, or Data Analytics
  • Strong experience in building and maintaining ETL pipelines
  • Expertise in SQL for data extraction and transformation.
  • Hands-on experience with data warehousing and cloud-based BI solutions (e.g. Cubeware, Microsoft Analysis Services (Multidimensional and Tabular Model, Azure SQL Database Azure BI Stack).
  • Experience with data visualization tools like Power BI, Qli
  • Proficiency in SQL and experience with both relational and NoSQL databases.
  • Programming experience in Python, R, or Scala for data processing.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms and related data services.
  • Strong knowledge of data modeling, data architecture, and data warehousing concepts.
  • Familiarity with data governance, data security, and compliance best practices.
  • Knowledge of version control and CI/CD practices for BI deployment.

Your Place of work

Groedig/Salzburg (HQ)

 

We offer a salary in line with the market, which is based on your qualifications and professional experience. The collective agreement minimum salary for this position is € 2,471.00 gross per month on a full-time basis. Your actual salary will be overpaid in line with the market and is significantly higher than the minimum salary under the collective agreement.
