We have an exciting job opportunity in the Finance organization within the Luxury Hardware brand segment. In this critical leadership position, the Commercial Finance Manager will lead the Luxury Hardware Commercial Finance team and will facilitate and manage all Commercial Finance reporting. This individual will work closely with the Luxury Finance Director and General Manager, with expectations of providing complete and accurate data and analysis, presented in a manner that is easy to understand. This reporting is ultimately used by the Sales and Leadership team to drive improved performance and maximize profitability. Strong communication skills and proven analytical skills will be very important in this role. The Commercial Finance Manager will ensure that results are reported in the proper format, on a timely basis, and in conformity with GAAP and company guidelines. The position will manage the annual and quarterly budgeting process and develop tools to analyze and interpret results against budgeted amounts and provide monthly, quarterly and annual forecast cost estimates. Maintain accuracy of relevant balance sheet reserve accounts and provide analysis as required.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- (25%) Ensure accurate and timely closing of monthly financial statements. Guide the team with the preparation and analysis of JL’s, ensure all JL’s are prepared timely and reviewed for accuracy, monitor reserve balances based on contractual obligations, and report out variance commentary to the Luxury Hardware Leadership team.
- (25%) Oversee and assist in the preparation of monthly and annual forecasts. Ensure that all aspects of the forecast are reasonable and incorporate the latest information. Identify trends and give recommendations based on these findings in an effort to control spending, increase estimate accuracy, and call attention to potential risks and opportunities.
- (15%) Compile reporting packages to support Leadership as well as various cost center managers.
- (15%) Review and approve SG&A/ RD&A spend and customer programming to ensure business justification and budget containment. Analyze and approve PCR requests while ensuring compliance with company policies/ SOA.
- (15%) Manage workload amongst the Luxury Hardware Commercial Finance team to ensure deadlines are met for ad hoc as well as standardized reporting/ requests. Mentor and develop team members to meet the needs of the business and promote professional growth.
- (5%) Constant focus on building efficiency via process improvement/ simplification to maximize output and accomplish our goals.
Education and Experience Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business-related field. MBA or CPA preferred.
- 7-10 years finance and accounting experience.
Required Skills
- Exceptional communication skills, written and oral, speaks English proficiently.
- Speaks clearly and persuasively in positive and negative situations; listens and gets clarification. Responds well to questions; participate and present information in meetings.
- Broad knowledge of principles and practices of Commercial Finance.
- Excellent PC and spreadsheet skills.
- SAP and Hyperion/Essbase experience is highly desired.
- Proven success with managing projects that deliver results.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across all functions at ASSA ABLOY Americas Residential.
Work Environment:
Working conditions are normal for an office environment.
Pay Range: $130,000-$150,000.
This “base salary range” is a reasonable estimate for this position at the time of posting. Pay within each range is based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, to primary work job-related knowledge, skills, experience, business requirements and geographic location.
