Keys stored securely, managed effectively and available 100% of time

Mansfield Medical Centre offers a wide range of health services to patients from their surgery in Coventry. Their team of doctors and nurse take great pride in the care they provide, actively engaging in the NHS Patient Participation Group, ensuring that patients are involved in decisions about the range and quality of services provided and, over time, commissioned by the practice.

Mansfield Medical Centre wanted to create standardised processes surrounding keys, including the daily lock up, access to drugs cabinets and out of hours access. In addition to these core requirements, they also needed a way to record access to keys and identify the current user of particular keys, improve efficiency and reduce the amount of time lost searching for keys.

Traka21’s innovative plug and play system provides the practice with the very latest in intelligent key management. Simple, efficient and costeffective, Traka21 helps trace and account for every key or keyset, which are individually locked in place, ensuring that critical business operations are never jeopardised. Mansfield completed a full review of their processes prior to installing Traka 21, which dramatically improved effectiveness. Their keys are now stored securely, managed effectively and available 100% of time to members of staff.

Following the introduction of Traka21, approximately 30 redundant keys were identified as part of a process review, which were then removed from the system.

Process efficiency and staff morale has greatly improved since we installed the cabinet at the surgery. Traka 21 has become a ‘seamless’ and ‘accepted’ benefit

This is a brilliant concept that means all our keys are now organised. The system has become second nature and we’re no longer searching for keys

Lynn Lennon, Practice Manger, Mansfield Medical Centre

Everyone is now responsible for owning the keys they take and know they are accountable for returning them. I’m so pleased not to hear people shouting across the office on a daily basis ‘who’s got the keys for such and such
