SAP S/4 HANA SD Application Expert
ASSA ABLOY Global Solutions is rolling out SAP S/4 HANA across the Division which will enable and support its business expansion strategy in line with the new operating business model.
PRIMARY JOB PURPOSE
The SAP S/4HANA SD Reginal Application Consultant is responsible for providing SAP SD application support, continuous improvement, and rollout execution services for business units across the Americas region.
Working within an established global SAP template and governance model, the role will support business operations, deliver approved enhancements, participate in rollout activities, and promote adoption of standardized Quote-to-Cash processes. The position operates under the governance and design authority of the Global SAP CoE, ensuring alignment with global standards, best practices, and template integrity.
KEY POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Serve as the primary SAP SD Regional Consultant supporting business units across the Americas region.
- Act as the primary point of contact for SAP SD production support, incident resolution, service requests, and operational stabilization activities.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand business requirements and assess alignment with approved global template capabilities.
- Ensure all solutions, enhancements, and process recommendations comply with approved global SAP templates, standards, and governance policies.
- Configure and support SAP SD processes including:
- Customer and Sales Master Data
- Quotations
- Sales Orders
- Sales Contracts
- Pricing
- ATP (Available-to-Promise)
- Delivery Processing
- Billing
- Returns Management
- Credit Management
- Recommend standard SAP solutions aligned with global template standards while minimizing custom developments and regional deviations.
- Work with technical teams to design, test, and deploy WRICEF objects including reports, interfaces, enhancements, workflows, conversions, and forms.
- Develop and maintain functional specifications and support technical design reviews.
- Support data migration activities including customer master, pricing conditions, open sales orders, and related transactional data.
- Coordinate and execute system integration testing (SIT), user acceptance testing (UAT), training, cutover, go-live, and hypercare activities.
- Collaborate closely with MM, FI, PP, EWM, BRIM and other functional teams to ensure seamless end-to-end business processes.
- Drive root cause analysis and reduction of recurring incidents through process improvements, knowledge sharing, and proactive support activities.
- Investigate and resolve production incidents and service requests while meeting agreed service levels.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and identify opportunities to optimize business processes and user experience.
- Collaborate with the Global SAP CoE to evaluate enhancement requests, support process standardization, and ensure compliance with governance processes.
- Participate in design reviews, deployment activities, governance forums, and change control processes as required.
GOVERNANCE & DECISION AUTHORITY
- Operate within the governance framework established by the Global SAP CoE.
- Global process ownership, template ownership, and solution design authority remain with the Global SAP CoE.
- This role may recommend improvements and provide business impact assessments but is not responsible for approving regional process deviations or template changes.
- Requests for process changes, template deviations, or new solution capabilities must follow established SAP CoE governance and approval processes.
- Support business stakeholders in adopting approved global standards and minimizing regional customizations.
SELECTION CRITERIA
- Essential
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, Engineering, or related discipline.
- Minimum 5 -7 years of SAP SD consulting, support, and solution delivery experience.
- Minimum 1 full lifecycle SAP implementations or S/4HANA rollout projects in SAP SD.
- Strong hands-on SAP SD configuration experience covering:
- Quotations
- Sales Contracts
- Sales Order Management
- Pricing
- ATP
- Delivery Processing
- Billing
- Returns
- Credit Management
- Experience supporting regional or global SAP rollout programs.
- Strong understanding of end-to-end Quote-to-Cash processes and integration points with MM, FI, PP, EWM, and other SAP modules.
- Experience creating functional specifications for enhancements, interfaces, reports, forms, and workflows.
- Experience with testing, cutover planning, deployment, and post-go-live support.
- Experience supporting production environments, incident management, and change request delivery.
- Experience working within a globally governed SAP environment utilizing standardized templates and processes.
- Demonstrated ability to balance production support, continuous improvement, and rollout activities.
- Proven experience driving adoption of standardized business processes across regional business units.
- Working knowledge of SAP S/4HANA and SAP Fiori applications.
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Desirable
- SAP S/4HANA Certification in SAP SD.
- Experience with S/4HANA migrations, rollouts, or transformation programs.
- Exposure to Advanced ATP (aATP), Intercompany Sales, Third-Party Processing, and Consignment processes.
- Experience with EDI, customer integrations, or external order management systems.
- Knowledge of SAP Fiori, Embedded Analytics, and SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP).
- Basic ABAP debugging knowledge and familiarity with enhancement frameworks.
- Experience working with distributed global teams and offshore development teams.

- Office-based / Remote with occasional international travel.

- Working hours primarily aligned to the US Central Time Zone (CST), with flexibility to support APAC and European business requirements on an as-needed basis.
