Quality Test Engineer
Leads a team of technicians in the planning, execution, and improvement of testing procedures for our products and systems. This role combines hands-on testing expertise with leadership responsibilities, ensuring high-quality deliverables and team performance.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES

Technical Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and oversee test plans, procedures, and environments for hardware and finished product.
- Conduct various types of testing (e.g., functional, performance, regression, integration).
- Analyze and interpret test results, troubleshoot issues, and recommend corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with internal quality standards and industry regulations.
- Ensure compliance with Testing Lab certifications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, manufacturing, quality assurance) to optimize testing strategies.
- Drive continuous improvement with/for the Test and Evaluation Department.
- Serves as the primary liaison with regulatory agencies to ensure that all test and evaluation activities meet applicable compliance standards and product certification requirements.

Supervisory Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of test technicians and junior engineers.
- Provide coaching, mentorship, and performance feedback.
- Schedule and allocate resources to meet testing deadlines and production goals.
- Maintain and upgrade test cells and equipment to support efficient operations.
- Participate in hiring, training, and development of team members.
- Make day-to-day decisions within the department and contribute to strategic planning.
QUALIFICATIONS
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required for this position.
Education and/or Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, or related field.
- Three to five years of experience in testing or quality assurance, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory role.
- Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- LEAN/6 Sigma Certification – Green Belt desired.
Computer Skills
- Proficiency in MS Office
Language Ability
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as complex drawings, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals in English.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondences in English.
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small/large group situations and speak effectively before groups of customers, suppliers or employees within the organization.

- Assist the organization with establishing practices that align with ISO requirements.
Other Skills
- Proficiency in testing tools and equipment.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical writing skills.
- Experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) (IDEC).
- Experience designing and building testing fixtures.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies is a plus.
- Must have good communication and organizational skills and be attentive to detail.
