Manager, Regional EHS

The Regional Environmental, Health, & Safety (EHS) Manager will develop, implement, maintain, and enforce company policies, procedures, and programs related to federal, state, and local EHS laws, regulations, and standards. This position works closely with the functional department heads at each location in the design and development of facilities, equipment, work areas, and work procedures to meet all EHS regulations and ISO program requirements. This position is also responsible for leading activities to reduce injuries and injury costs, control risks, ensure highest possible degree of health and safety for employees, as well as to establish uniformity in the development, implementation, and administration of all applicable policies, procedures, and programs at 4Front locations. This role also stays abreast of any changes to EHS laws, regulations, and standards that impact the organization while maintaining compliance.

 

Essential Functions:

 

  • Develops, establishes, and maintains industrial EHS policies, programs, and procedures in reference with applicable federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and standards.
  • Develops, conducts, and oversees industrial EHS training activities including new hire orientation.
  • Oversees environmental programs including ISO 14001 activities.
  • Act as a technical and cultural change agent for environmental, health, and safety initiatives.
  • Identify and evaluate hazardous conditions and practices in the workplace. 
  • Provides industrial safety, industrial hygiene, and environmental support services.

 

Education and Experience:

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental, Health, and Safety, Industrial Safety, Life Sciences, Engineering, or related field.  Similar Master’s degree or MBA preferred.
  • 7+ years of functional experience in progressive EHS career in a manufacturing environment or other relevant experience.
  • Multi-site experience with the development and implementation of Environmental, Health, and Safety programs preferred.
  • Auditor training through ISO 14001 preferred.
  • Certified Environmental or Safety and Health Professional (e.g., CSP, CSHM, IOSH Level 3 Certificate, QEP, REM, EMS Auditor, etc.) preferred.
