AI Application Engineer
As an AI Application Engineer, you will design, develop, and support AI enabled applications that streamline workflows, improve decision making, and enhance user experiences across the enterprise. You’ll work across both frontend and backend systems, operationalize machine-learning models, and help ensure our solutions are scalable, intuitive, and production ready.
You’ll succeed in this role if you enjoy solving meaningful problems, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and owning solutions from concept to deployment.
What You’ll Do
- Build and maintain user-facing AI applications and tools for internal stakeholders
- Develop backend services and APIs using modern frameworks and microservices architectures
- Integrate applications with enterprise systems (e.g., Salesforce, JD Edwards, commercial platforms)
- Operationalize machine-learning models and analytical outputs in partnership with AI and data teams
- Ensure application reliability, performance, and security in cloud-based production environments
- Collaborate with cloud data teams to enable secure and efficient data access
- Support deployments, releases, testing, and ongoing maintenance through CI/CD pipelines
- Engage with business users to gather requirements and continuously enhance application functionality
- Thrive in a dynamic environment where priorities shift based on business need
Minimum Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience building production-grade applications or services
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or related field
- Experience with backend frameworks (e.g., Java/Spring or similar)
- Experience with modern web technologies for frontend applications
- Proficiency in Python, including integrating AI/ML capabilities into applications
- Experience integrating applications with enterprise systems using APIs, middleware, or event-driven architectures
- Knowledge of cloudnative development (Azure preferred)
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, containers, and production release workflows
- Strong grasp of application lifecycle management, monitoring, and reliability
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Ability to travel 10–30%, including internationally
- Legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple workstreams, and meet timelines
- Comfortable translating business needs and technical findings into user-friendly solutions
- Bilingual Spanish and/or Portuguese
