Billing Specialist I
JOB SUMMARY
Billing Specialist I will own the batch query process from invoicing and resolving invoicing errors to partnering with internal and external customers to identify and update account information. This is a critical billing function with high visibility within the organization as these billings impact various departments forecasting efforts, ability to accurately report numbers, and ensure customers can make timely payments.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Process daily batch queries for various billing types early in the morning to avoid system delays.
• Review the “Shipped Not Invoiced” report daily to resolve any sales orders that encounter invoicing errors during the batch query runs.
• Partner with IT to resolve any invoicing errors that the biller is unable to resolve independently.
• Maintain an accurate log of invoices and their respective submission status.
• Complete thorough review of invoices and accounts to identify submission procedures.
• Maintain customer account updates by efficiently managing the TeamDesk workflow tool and
partner with internal departments to get account updated in the ERP system.
SKILL REQUIREMENTS AND PERFORMANCE CRITERIA
• One-year experience completing daily invoicing queries and managing error report
• Proven ability to manage, analyze, and interpret large volumes of data with accuracy, efficiency, and attention to detail
• Ability to quickly grasp new concepts, tools, and processes, and apply them effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and balance multiple responsibilities
• Demonstrate adaptability with the ability to adjust quickly to changing priorities, environments, and business needs while maintaining effectiveness and professionalism
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey information clearly to internal and external customers
• In-office presence three times per week
