Assembly Lead
B&B Roadway and Security Solutions, an ASSA ABLOY branded company, is looking for an Assembly Lead in our Russellville, AL location.
What you will be doing:
Safely drives the team to success daily by giving direction and expectations, focusing on execution and follow-through to drive production improvements and achievements through quality and cost. Complete daily schedule assigned by the supervisor to complete goals by customer priority.
Job Duties & Requirements:
- Experience with electrical assembly, arm assembly, mechanical assembly, and packaging processes.
- Experience managing and leading multiple employees at a time.
- Basic math and mechanical skills.
- Able to train employees in the proper way to perform assembly processes with minimal error while focused on uptime and throughput.
- Ability to read and interpret prints and drawings.
- Provide employees with performance expectations and production goals.
- Provide employees with tools, resources, motivation, training, and accountability.
- Flexibility with production hours.
- Lead by example by adhering to all code of conduct policies, rules, and regulations.
- Understanding & usage of the metric system, reading micrometer, caliper & tape measure.
- Good interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and problem solving.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in English at a level to facilitate and understand terminology of the job.
- Ability to follow and adhere to the dress code.
- Ability to comprehend and follow written and verbal instructions.
The skills and experience you need:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 1 to 3 years’ experience in manufacturing processes.
- Able to effectively manage people, personalities, and challenges.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task changing priorities.
- Must have strong verbal communication skills.
- 5-S training and lean manufacturing are a plus.
- Able to maintain a safe working environment that is conducive to productivity.
- Maintain and improve operating performance of the department.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of all materials.
- Manufacture products in conformance to plant quality standards
