Legal Counsel M&A
Global Solutions is a growing business unit in our Global Technologies division with 4 000 employees around the world. We are looking for a Legal Counsel M&A to strengthen our in-house Legal and M&A team. This is a great opportunity to work closely with our Head of M&A and our General Counsel, supporting complex international transactions and acting as a trusted legal partner to the business.
As Legal Counsel M&A, you will be a key member of our Legal Department, reporting to the General Counsel of Global Solutions and working closely with our Head of M&A. Your focus will be to support the division’s M&A activities from start to finish, including legal due diligence, drafting and negotiation of agreements, deal closings, and post-merger integration. You will also contribute to corporate legal and governance matters and help shape policies and training that strengthen compliance and mitigate risk. This is a hands-on role where you will be part of a small, dynamic, and highly collaborative in-house team. You will get exposure to a wide variety of international transactions and the chance to make a real impact on the success of our business.
Your work will include:
- Draft, review, negotiate, and advise on M&A-related contracts such as LOIs, SPAs, clean team agreements, put/call arrangements, and earn-outs.
-
Coordinate and liaise with the M&A team, business stakeholders, and external counsel throughout all deal stages – from pipeline to closing and integration.
-
Provide legal advice on compliance, data protection, competition law, anti-corruption, IP, and other areas relevant to transactions.
-
Support the development of divisional legal policies, procedures, and training programs to improve efficiency and reduce legal risk.
-
Monitor and advise on legal developments affecting the division’s markets and operations.
-
Contribute to a consistent legal strategy across the division and support corporate governance matters.
We believe you have:
- A Master of Laws (LL.M.) or equivalent, with bar admission (or equivalent).
-
5+ years’ relevant experience, ideally a combination of top-tier law firm training and in-house counsel experience at a global company.
-
Proven track record with cross-border M&A transactions, including due diligence, contract drafting, and negotiation.
-
Excellent legal drafting skills, with the ability to translate complex issues into clear, actionable advice.
-
Strong project management and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to balance multiple priorities.
-
A collaborative and proactive mindset – comfortable taking initiative and guiding the business.
-
Fluency in English; additional European languages are a plus.
As a person, you are prestige-free, collaborative, and resilient. You enjoy the action and complexity of deal work but thrive equally on being a supportive team member. You know when to take the lead in negotiations – and when to step back.
In joining us, you will get:
-
A chance to work on high-profile international M&A deals in a truly global organization.
-
Exposure to a diverse team of professionals across legal, M&A, finance, and business functions.
-
A role with real impact, combining hands-on legal craftsmanship with strategic business involvement.
-
A collaborative and down-to-earth culture, where you will work closely with experienced colleagues and contribute to a strong team spirit.
-
Hybrid working model with flexibility, while encouraging presence at our Stockholm office for effective teamwork.
