The role is preferably based in Stockholm, Eskilstuna, or Mölnlycke (Sweden); Ski near Oslo (Norway); Ballerup (Denmark); Espoo or Joensuu (Finland); or one of our offices in Tallinn, Riga, or Vilnius (Baltics). Occasional travel will be required.

 

What you would do as our Senior Financial Controller / Manager
You would be responsible for a range of tasks spanning both operational and strategic initiatives. Your role will include conducting various analyses and reports, while continuously enhancing financial processes and tools.

You would be part of a two-person team reporting directly to the CFO Nordics. In this role, you would be responsible for financial reporting and would collaborate closely with six CFOs, along with their controllers and finance teams across the Nordic region.

You would also:
• Lead and coordinate all periodic reporting to EMEIA and Group, ensuring high quality and timely delivery. Collaborate closely with CFOs to shape reporting formats.
• Drive forecasting and budgeting processes, align financial goals with Nordic and EMEA strategies, and provide variance analysis.
• Ensure effective internal controls in line with the ASSA ABLOY Accounting Manual and support internal audit coordination.
• Support productivity improvements, investment analysis, and KPI follow-up to drive financial results.
• Work across Nordic teams to achieve strategic objectives and foster alignment with EMEA initiatives.

 

The skills and experience you need
We are looking for someone who has:
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in finance, accounting, or a closely related field.
• Minimum of 5 years in financial controlling or senior accounting, preferably within an international environment.
• Strong skills in ERP and BI systems (e.g., MS AX, HFM/OneStream, MS BI), with the ability to manage and interpret large data sets using tools like Excel.
• Solid understanding of accounting processes, financial analysis, and performance tracking, including closing procedures and reporting.
• Proven experience in improving financial processes, routines, and master data management.

 

Ideally, you are independent and confident, with a strong sense of ownership and the ability to work proactively and efficiently. You bring structure and dedication to your work, collaborate effectively with others, and approach tasks with a service-oriented and solution-driven mindset.
