As our PIE ENGINEER you’ll support HID’s success by:
Summary
Product Industrialization Engineer (NPI) to lead new product introduction projects from concept to mass production. This role ensures products meet customer, quality, and manufacturability requirements, while driving efficiency, cost control, and continuous improvement.
Duties and Responsibilities include the following
- Lead NPI projects, ensuring delivery within scope, timeline, and PIP procedures.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to meet project milestones.
- Prepare product drawings, specifications, BOMs, routings, and cost roll-ups.
- Manage sample builds, qualifications, and LRVT before production release.
- Ensure DFM and capability requirements are met.
- Qualify outsourcing processes (FA submission/approval).
- Maintain and update BOM, routing, cost, and all manufacturing documentation.
- Support mass production issues related to product design/specification.
- Drive Kaizen and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance.
- Comply with all environmental control procedures.
- Ensure all activities are performed in a manner that does not create unnecessary environmental impacts
- Report or feedback on environmental incidents or improvements needed
- Other duties may be assigned by the manager when required
Qualifications
- AutoCAD (minimum 2007 version) – read & draw.
- Basic understanding with Adobe Illustrator (creating new & made amendment) will be an advantage.
- Knowledge of RFID, molding or related manufacturing experience will be an advantage.
Education and/or Experience
- An Engineering degree or equivalent and a minimum of 1 year of related experience.
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001: 2015, and OSHA regulations.
Language Skills
- Ability to effectively communicate in English language verbally and in writing.
Computer Skills
- Proficient in MS Office applications, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
- Familiar with operating systems, such as Windows, etc.
- Able to use Minitab Program will be an advantage.
