Territorial Sales Manager - Midwest
Own your region. Build trusted partnerships. Sell products that lead the category.
At D&D Technologies, we design and manufacture high-performance gate latches, locks, and hinges trusted across residential, commercial, and industrial settings. Our MagnaLatch® is the original magnetic safety latch, and today our products are sold worldwide — backed by the strength of the ASSA ABLOY group.
We are now looking for a Territory Sales Manager to take the lead across North Dakota, South Dakota, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Nebraska, Iowa, Illinois, Kansas, Missouri, Manitoba and Northwest Ontario.
This is a field-based sales role focused on building long-term relationships and identifying new business — ideal for someone who enjoys autonomy, thrives on ownership, and understands how to connect with contractors, distributors, and OEMs.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and grow a defined sales territory with a clear focus on revenue and market share.
- Build relationships with OEMs, distributors, and fence contractors.
- Identify new business opportunities through field visits, cold calls, and lead generation.
- Deliver product demonstrations and training to partners and customers.
- Represent D&D at trade shows, customer events, and industry conferences.
- Use Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM and Power BI to guide decision-making and reporting.
- Monitor competitor activity and share market insights to help shape local strategy.
Skills/Qualifications
- 3–5 years of B2B field sales experience — ideally in building materials, construction hardware, or related industries
- A hunter mindset: proactive, persistent, and comfortable working independently
- Effective communication and negotiation skills, with a focus on relationship-building
- Familiarity with sales tools and reporting (Dynamics 365 and Power BI a plus)
- Willingness to travel up to 70% across your territory.
- Based in the territory (North Dakota, South Dakota, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Nebraska, Iowa, Illinois, Kansas or Missouri). Chicago or St. Louis metro areas are preferred.
Why Join D&D Technologies?
- D&D is the original, the standard and the future of gate hardware. Our capable team has a track record of consistent sales growth and strong profitability.
- D&D is part of ASSA ABLOY, a global hardware solutions provider with Innovation, Integrity and Empowerment as its core values.
- A competitive base salary with uncapped commissions — the more you grow your territory, the more you earn.
- Car allowance and full expense reimbursement — we back our field team.
- Comprehensive benefits — including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) with company match.
- Clear expectations, autonomy to do your job, and support when you need it.
- Full training on products, systems, and strategy — so you can hit the ground running.
This is a role for someone who takes ownership, builds strong local relationships, and represents a trusted brand with pride. You will not be micromanaged — you’ll be empowered.
