The Operations Solutions team delivers software applications used throughout the HID organization targeting the industrialization and production management of HID products. Those solutions are deployed across the globe, at HID sites, at suppliers, and contract manufacturer production sites. Those solutions cover all product lines (credentials, tags, readers, panels, tokens, printers ...) and various aspects of the production processes (like provisioning, labeling, packaging, reporting, and traceability management).
The Production Systems and Platforms Development Manager oversees the engineering resources that design, develop and deliver technology frameworks and production environments used on production sites and integrated by the Process and Application Industrialization team worldwide.

As our Operations Solutions Development Manager, you’ll support HID’s success by:
- Managing a team of software developers, the team's resources, and the assigned projects using the Scrum/Agile and sAfe Methodologies.
- Aligning priorities with the other Operations Solutions managers.
- Handling the full development/validation/documentation cycles.
- Participating in capturing clear requirements from the OS Solutions users, Product owners, Engineering teams, and executive management.
- Maintaining development and deployment roadmaps for the team.
- Keeping the team members focused on the Goals and cooperating with the OS QA team to deliver in a timely manner high quality solutions.
- Leveraging backend services & UIs delivered by the OS teams.
- Complying with the department's overarching architecture and processes guidelines.
- Coaching/Mentoring engineers involved in the projects.
- Enforcing the use of collaborative tools (Jira/Confluence) throughout and outside the team.
- Ensuring proper communication - in English - with main stakeholders and internal customers.
- Reporting to the OS Architect and OS team Director use cases that might require improvements or changes (new technology or business processes).
- Fostering a culture of continuous improvement/innovation.
- Promoting and evangelizing the benefit of the delivered platforms.
Your Experience and Background include:
- Minimum of Batchelor Degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering
- Minimum of 7 years of hands-on development experience
- Minimum of 3 years of software design experience
- Previous Software Development Manager or Lead Developer experience appreciated
- Past hands-on experience with software development team management as a Manager or a Lead Developer
- Past hands-on experience with implementing software used in industrial environments
- Experienced in full SDLC (Software development life cycle) which includes
- System / Information Engineering,
- Software Requirements gathering,
- Systems Analysis and Design,
- Code Generation, Testing, Implementation, maintenance, and documentation.
- Must have hands-on working experience with source control management tools
- Industrial solution development experience is appreciated
