What would you do as our Associate Logistics Coordinator?
You will ensure the efficient operation of all parts of the office. Your primary responsibility would be to support the Logistics Coordinator, with additional support roles in Accounting, Engineering and Production.
You would also:
- Answer phone calls, schedule meetings and assist visitors, including applicants.
- Perform administrative tasks such as filing, typing, copying, binding, and scanning.
- Manage filing for Accounts Receivable and Payable, and order office supplies as needed.
- Assist with logistics and production scheduling, including crating and managing work orders and production schedules.
- Attend daily production meetings with Leads and Managers.
- Issue and manage inventory of fire labels, maintaining accurate records.
- Create and manage shipping schedules including Bill of Lading (BOL) documents and packing lists.
- Manage UPS shipments and reconcile shipping daily for invoicing.
- Assist customers with updates and orders in route.
- Collaborate closely with the office and shop teams.
- Check in with the Logistics Coordinator throughout the day for additional tasks.
- Actively participate in providing a safe and harmonious working environment for all employees.
- Assure compliance with federal, state, local and corporate policies, regulations, AADG programs and policies and the ASSA ABLOY Code of Conduct
- Other duties as assigned by management
The Skills and Experience you need:
- High School Diploma/GED required
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Management preferred
- Previous experience with logistics is highly preferred
- Understanding of the supply chain, including common obstacles and effective solutions.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Wor, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Adobe Acrobat.
- Proficient in standard logistics software.
- Excellent analytical, problem solving and organizational skills and thorough attention to detail.
- Strong follow-up, verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
- Highly flexible to adjust to daily work schedule to meet the critical operational needs of the day.
