Country Manager Switzerland (all genders)
We are looking to hire a Country Manager (all genders) in Switzerland.
The business area Doors within SDC serves the indirect sales channel. Product range includes industrial sectional doors, roller doors, docking equipment and the core competence residential garage doors incl. accessories.
Responsibilities
The position holder leads the dedicated team resources – sales representatives, the team leader of the internal sales team, and the team leader of accounting. The person is responsible for sales and results and holds commercial power of attorney after the training period.
Key responsibilities
Country Manager (approx. 30% of the role)
- Full P&L responsibility for the local sales unit in Switzerland, including full organizational responsibility
- Cooperation, communication, and information exchange with sales units in other countries as well as with central functions such as marketing, product management, finance and HR
- Target setting and monitoring (annually, monthly, weekly) for order intake, sales, market presence, and other KPIs
- Optimization of organizational structures, processes and tools
- Reporting to the Head of Business Unit and the Group
Sales Manager (approx. 70% of the role)
- Expand business in the key market Switzerland with significant sales growth and improved profitability
- Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy in line with the group’s overarching goals
- Analyze customer, market, and competition; identify trends and innovations, and initiate improvement actions
- Plan and execute sales promotion strategies and programs
- Define clear processes for dealer agreements, price reviews and terms & conditions
- Develop and train the sales team (sales excellence, customer acquisition, etc.) to enable sustainable growth
- Promote the use of CRM tools and market-relevant analysis
- Actively engage in the market alongside sales staff to demonstrate best practices
- Take responsibility for a limited number of key accounts and OEM clients
Professional Competencies
- Completed university degree or equivalent qualification with a strong focus on sales
- At least 10 years of experience in sales management, preferably in indirect sales
- Strategic thinking and the ability to see the “big picture”
- Strong leadership and change management skills
- Entrepreneurial mindset, hands-on mentality and solution-oriented approach
- Excellent skills in key account management and customer retention
- High motivation to build and sustainably develop a strong sales team
- Fluent in German, English, and preferably French or Italian
- Experienced in the use of CRM systems and strong knowledge of ERP, BI, and MS Office tools
