Talent Acquisition Specialist
Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented, energetic and driven Talent Acquisition Specialist who will be responsible for developing a proactive approach to attract and retain top talent for key positions at ASSA ABLOY. This includes sourcing, recruitment, selection and formulation of employment offers to candidates. Must be available to work onsite in our Lake Forest location Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday. Will be remote Monday and Friday.
Recruitment (45%)
- Partner with hiring managers and HR partners to establish recruitment strategies and assess talent needs to ensure alignment with achieving business objectives.
- Utilize business partnerships with hiring managers and candidates to build a network of qualified applicants to meet staffing needs.
- Apply innovative techniques to source and attract top candidates via LinkedIn and other resources.
- Facilitate intake meetings and reccuring recruitment meetings with the hiring manager and HR partners. Offer advice to the team when questions or concerns arise.
- Source and screen candidates for minimum qualifications, work history and other KSAs (knowledge, skills and abilities).
- Facilitate discussions with hiring authority regarding which candidates are the best matches for the position.
- Manage the end-to-end recruitment process including resume review, screening, interviews, assessments and offer negotiations.
- Recommend final candidates for department interviews in conjunction with the HR partner and hiring managers.
- Ensure a positive candidate experience through timely communication and support throughout the hiring process.
Consulting (45%)
- Communicate with hiring managers regarding the status of their respective positions.
- Maintain an understanding of talent across industries and functions. Provide input on various recruitment trends and practices.
- Challenge hiring managers about talent assumptions and provide creative solutions.
- Negotiate offers and clearly communicate complex compensation packages. Coach against potential counter or competitor offers.
- Notify each internal or external candidate regarding his or her status in the recruitment process and when positions are filled with other candidates.
- Act as a liaison with Preferred Vendors and their candidates for appropriate positions. Partner with the Sourcing department if vendor support is needed.
- Maintain a comprehensive list of vendors and fee schedules for agencies and sourcing venues.
Program Management (10%)
- Participate in annual campus recruitment events. Work with campus representatives and attend onsite career events.
- Lead annual summer internship recruiting efforts, including candidate outreach, interviews and selection.
- Co-facilitate and participate in HR sponsored events.
Education and Requirements
- 3-5 years of recruiting experience, preferably in staffing or an agency setting preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Communications or related field required.
- Proficiency in using applicant tracking systems (ATS) such Success Factors, Workday or similar and sourcing tools (e.g., LinkedIn Recruiter).
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.
- Demonstrated experience with interviewing methodology, behavioral and competency interviewing preferred.
- Utilization of social media from a recruitment perspective.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of employees within the organization.
- Knowledge of creative and innovative sourcing techniques.
- Ability to operate with a sense of urgency in a fast-paced work environment.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Must be able to perform with a high-level of ethical and professional behavior at all times.
- Comfortability to work well independently and within a team setting.
Working conditions are normal for an office environment.
Pay Range: $61,756-$97,046.
This “base salary range” is a reasonable estimate for this position at the time of posting. Pay within each range is based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, to primary work job-related knowledge, skills, experience, business requirements and geographic location. ASSA ABLOY conducts regular review of compensation ranges and therefore reserves the right to alter this range at any given time.
