About the Role

We’re seeking a customer-focused and technically skilled Technical Account Representative to support our Professional End User (PEU) customer segment across New Zealand. Based in Auckland and reporting to the Retail & Locksmith Sales Director, this role is all about delivering trusted advice, tailored security solutions, and technical support to clients such as local councils, government departments, and infrastructure providers.

You’ll play a key role in managing existing accounts, solving technical challenges, and growing our high-security keying product portfolio through close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide timely technical and sales support to end users and customers, resolving product-related inquiries and issues.

  • Understand customer needs and deliver tailored, consultative solutions while managing key accounts to ensure satisfaction and retention.

  • Support the broader sales team with technical expertise and collaborate on opportunities to grow the high-security keying portfolio.

  • Conduct product training for customers and internal teams to build knowledge and promote correct product usage.

  • Manage projects and customer interactions using CRM tools to maintain accurate records and track progress.

  • Attend industry events to promote ASSA ABLOY solutions, strengthen relationships, and gather market insights.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including product, marketing, operations, and customer service—to align on goals and initiatives.

  • Monitor sales performance against targets and implement corrective actions as needed to meet objectives.

 

About You

You’re a confident communicator who thrives in a technical sales environment and enjoys helping customers solve problems. You have a strong service mindset and are skilled at translating complex product details into practical benefits. You’ll also bring:

  • 2+ years’ experience in technical sales or a similar role, ideally in security or infrastructure

  • 5+ years’ experience in sales, marketing, or product-focused positions

  • A technical aptitude and eagerness to learn complex security solutions

  • Strong relationship-building and stakeholder engagement skills

  • Good time management, organisation, and presentation abilities

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM tools
