What you would do as our Technical Account Manager
The Technical Account Manager will be responsible for operational delivery of our key account customer sites, surveying of complex installations, and project management. Forming a strong bond with our sales team and interacting with key customers to drive customer satisfaction and enhance operational effectiveness within the department. The role will also involve close working relationships with the production and service teams to ensure the customer's scope and expectations are met. The position is available as a hybrid role, combining home working/head office working, and site visits.
You would also:
• Lead technical surveying, engineer installation briefings, and ensure compliance by preparing and enforcing RAMS, SSoW, and Lift Plans for safe and effective site operations.
• Manage end-to-end project delivery, including programme planning, on-time and budget execution, and post-installation site ownership as a key stakeholder.
• Provide technical assistance and training to sales teams, engineers, and account managers, supporting pre-sales efforts and ensuring seamless technical integration.
• Handle customer relationship management through expectation setting, complaint resolution, and maintaining strong client and site team connections.
• Coordinate cross-functional collaboration with procurement, logistics, installation, service, and production teams to ensure smooth project execution and operational alignment.
The skills and experience you need
We are looking for someone who:
• Holds SSSTSs qualification and ALLMI Appointed Person certification for Lorry Loader Lifting Operations, demonstrating strong compliance and safety leadership in site environments.
• Has experience in similar roles, with credible technical knowledge and a confident, professional presence in customer-facing and internal meetings.
• Possesses solid understanding of PC hardware, fire & security installation, networking, routing, and structured cabling, supporting a wide range of technical operations.
• Is skilled in surveying and accurately assessing project scope and duration, contributing to effective planning and execution.
• Exhibits excellent communication skills, a positive can-do attitude, and the ability to engage effectively with both customers and internal stakeholders.
Knowledge of Access Control and additional qualifications (e.g. NEBOSH, IOSH, SMSTS, or equivalent) will be a plus.
