- Position: Purchasing Specialist
- Report to: PMC Manager of ASSA ABLOY Architectural Hardware Vietnam (AAAHV)
- Location: DEEP C 2B Industrial Zone, Dinh Vu, Hai Phong
- Working time: 8:00 – 17:00 | Monday - Friday
- Responsibilities:
- Responsibility for the direct material/ indirect material purchasing for plant to ensure operation run smoothly and minimum production stop cause from direct material issue.
- Align with appropriate material category teams to provide local business requirements and market information to support effective collaborative regional and global strategy creation and execution.
- Contribute in strategy development & execution for procurement, inventory management, cost optimization, and materials planning with suppliers to secure on time materials in plant.
- Work with cross functional teams & leaders for developing consensus on product and inventory levels.
- Identify alternate sources of supply, Influence procurement on sourcing strategies.
- Identify sustainable, long-term savings opportunities through the strategy creation process, identifying and exploring all potential value levers.
- Be expert in local categories and supply markets.
- Perform product audits and production risk assessments for suppliers.
- Have responsibility for improvement projects related to production processes and share best practices / knowledge by gathering and conveying product and production experiences to create pre-conditions for the suppliers to take full responsibility for their performance.
- Evaluate potential new supplier’s production facilities and quality systems.
- Take other tasks, responsibilities which assign from direct manager.
- Requirements:
- Bachelor degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or Business administration or equivalent.
- More than 4 years of working experience as purchasing or procurement officer in manufacturing environments of foreign companies.
- Experience working at EPE (Export Processing Enterprise).
- Knowledge of trade, HS code, Customs regulation, Incoterm.
- Experience in ERP system (AX, SAP, Oracle etc.).
- Familiar with metal processes, CNC, die casting, assembly, painting and packaging is an advantage.
- Know how to build and maintain business relations with suppliers (Supplier Relationship Management).
- Have knowledge of audit and assessment techniques, and analysis of suppliers working methods and performance.
- Understand the environments and requirements for both New Product Introduction (NPI) and product mix manufacturing.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented and easily adapt to changes and take responsibility.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
