Are you passionate about strategically positioning and developing teams in the field of electronics? In this role, you'll oversee a team that covers electronic design, ECAD, firmware design and development, commissioning of electronics and devices at suppliers, and pre-development actions.

You will be responsible for developing and following up on strategies to break down complex embedded systems needs into manageable development blocks for internal and/or external development. Additionally, you will monitor trends in electronic and firmware design and ensure the team builds up the necessary knowledge through suitable training measures.

Your collaboration will extend to colleagues from various departments, ensuring that our solutions meet the highest standards. You will play a crucial role in positioning the team strategically and driving its development forward.

 

What You’ll Do

 

  • Monitor Trends: Keep track of trends in the Embedded Systems Engineering (ESE) area to ensure the team stays ahead of industry developments.
  • Define Strategy: Develop and implement a strategy roadmap for the ESE team, focusing on the growth and development of its members.
  • Adapt Competencies: Adjust the competency distribution among team members, including assigning deputies as needed.
  • Resource Allocation: Participate in agile program increment planning to allocate resources according to project and maintenance needs.
  • Manage Team: Handle line management tasks such as team communication, team building, and coordination of maintenance tasks.
  • Act as SCRUM Master: Serve as the SCRUM master for functional agile teams, facilitating agile processes and practices.
  • Support Strategy: Assist your superior in defining and following up on the strategic roadmap.

Your profile

  • Completed a technical education with a focus on Embedded Systems Engineering or similar
  • At least 5 years of relevant work experience in Embedded Systems Engineering development
  • Leadership experience in a Team Manager or deputy role or significant experience in lateral management of development teams
  • Proficiency in Embedded Systems Engineering, like
    • Analog and digital electronic design
    • µC, CPU topologies and characteristics as needed for ESE use-cases
    • Sensors including cameras
    • Modern device electronic architecture
    • Firmware architecture principles
  • Proficient in both German and English, with the ability to communicate effectively in a professional setting.
  • A reliable, motivated, innovative, and open-minded team player who excels in collaboration and networking.

We offer a salary in line with the market, which is based on your qualifications and professional experience. The collective agreement minimum salary for this position is € 2,807.00 gross per month on a full-time basis. Your actual salary will be overpaid in line with the market and is significantly higher than the minimum salary under the collective agreement.
