Electronic Technician I
Major Areas of Responsibility include, but are not limited to:
- Safety minded in all work activities; suggest and recommend safety initiatives; commitment to safe work habits, maintaining work are organized aligned with 5S.
- Troubleshooting and repair of electronic controls down to the component level.
- Read work instructions, read schematics, evaluate, analyze, problem solve to ensure quality output and operation.
- Perform adjustments and calibrations to test and measurement equipment.
- Provide consistent, solid contribution to team and service center delivery goals.
- Adhere to established production processes and be responsible for helping achieve established production goals.
- Provide internal and external customer satisfaction through effective communication, innovation, and direct application of technical skills.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
This position requires the following essential knowledge, skills and abilities.
- Preform troubleshooting, repair, and rework of circuit boards and electronic components.
- Soldiering skills down to component level (through holes and SMD)
- Use diagnostic tools and equipment to test and analyze circuit boards, identifying faults and implementing solutions.
- Interpret schematics, technical manuals, and drawings to execute repairs accurately.
- Ability to organize the work area in a systematic and orderly fashion.
- Detailed oriented using fine visual skills.
- Well-organized with strong written and verbal communication skills.
- The ability work in a fast-paced environment for an extended period of time.
Education and Experience
- Associate degree, preferably in electrical or mechanical technology or equivalent job experience.
- Ability to build and repair electronic circuits.
- 1-2 years of experience in electronical technology but not mandatory.
- Positive attitude; self-motivated.
- Reliable and well-disciplined; ability to work well with others and follow instructions.
Physical Demands
While performing the responsibilities of the job, the employee is required to talk and hear. This is a standing position for up to 10 hours per day on a concrete factory floor. Frequent use of hand and hand tools to assembly parts. Ability to lift 30 or more pounds both overhead and at waist level. The employee is occasionally required to walk, reach with arms and hands. Vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and vehicles. Exposure to intermediate/loud noise is expected when working in the manufacturing environment. The work environment is climate controlled.
