As our SENIOR PRODUCTION MANAGER you’ll support HID’s success by: 

 

Summary

We are seeking an experienced Production Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our RFID manufacturing facility. This site includes semi-automated winding, bonding, dispensing, injection molding, laser engraving, assembly, and more. The role is responsible for implementing tactical and strategic manufacturing goals to ensure excellence in safety, quality, cost and on-time delivery. You will lead a high-performing team, drive operational improvements, and ensure alignment with corporate objectives through strong collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Manufacturing Operations

  • Lead all production and maintenance activities related to the front-end and back-end assembly of industrial smart RFID products.
  • Manage production using automated equipment including ultrasonic welding, injection molding, laser marking, and dispensing systems.
  • Meet and exceed targets for Safety, Quality, On-Time Delivery (OTD), and Efficiency.
  • Develop and implement best practices, procedures, and strategies to optimize production performance.
  • Plan and coordinate preventive maintenance to ensure equipment reliability and compliance.

 

Performance & Continuous Improvement

  • Drive key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure delivery of products at the highest standards of cost, quality, and schedule.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean and Six Sigma principles to reduce waste and improve productivity.
  • Support cross-functional projects and contribute to overall business strategy and budget planning.

 

People Leadership

  • Inspire, mentor, and lead a high-performing team; develop staff capabilities and manage performance.
  • Set departmental objectives, monitor KPIs, and foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards across all teams

 

Financial & Planning

  • Manage operational budgets and drive cost reduction and variable cost improvements.
  • Oversee master production schedules and align resources to meet business and customer demands.
  • Ensure efficient use of working capital and minimal waste through operational excellence.

 

Stakeholder & Relationship Management

  • Collaborate with engineering, product management, and other departments to improve processes and product quality.
  • Maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support business goals.
  • Report manufacturing performance regularly to senior management, highlighting KPIs and improvement opportunities.

 

Environmental & Compliance

  • Ensure all activities comply with environmental, health & safety, and quality regulations.
  • Promote environmentally responsible practices throughout the manufacturing process.

 

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Production or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of managerial experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong technical knowledge of production equipment, troubleshooting, and process improvement.
  • Experience in injection molding and electronic manufacturing is preferred.
  • Proficient in Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Results-oriented, resilient, and adaptable under pressure.
  • Commercial and financial acumen with budget management experience.

Additional Requirements:

  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); familiarity with Windows OS.
  • Strong verbal and written communication in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
  • Ability to interpret technical documentation and international standards.
  • Willingness to work extended hours as needed.
  • Possession of a valid driver’s license and personal vehicle.
  • Experience working with ERP systems.
  • Experience with Oracle is preferred.
