Traka Americas Holds Grand Opening Event for its New U.S. Headquarters in Orlando, Florida

Danny Garrido, President of Traka Americas, cut the ceremonial ribbon, marking the official opening of the new offices.

Traka Americas celebrated the move into their new facility near downtown Orlando, with a grand opening event on January 18th, 2019. The occasion attracted about 150 customers, partners and members of the local community to see the newly renovated building, which provides Traka an improved environment for partner & customer training, increased production capabilities and improved internal collaboration in order to support all Traka customers & partners throughout The Americas.

Attendees enjoyed an afternoon of fun games, relaxing massages, and a delicious variety of food truck fare. Traka sales and technical staff were on hand to greet guests, provide tours of the new facility, and ensure that they all received a firsthand experience with Traka products in the new demo and training environments, which highlight Traka’s overall solution and integration capabilities.

A highlight of the day was being able to raise $4,500 for Heart of Florida United Way, a charity which aids in funding global initiatives aimed at bettering communities. Traka collected donations and raffled off a few items, including Traka-branded goodies, an Amazon Echo Dot, and a cruise for two! In addition, the national blood bank, One Blood, was also in attendance and accepting blood donations with their Big Red Bus parked on site during the event.  Ultimately, in addition to celebrating the new facility, Traka was also able to make an impact in the local community of Orlando on behalf of Traka and ASSA ABLOY!

The new 12,000 sq. ft. building features an open concept layout, allowing enhanced communication and collaboration between different areas of the business. Dedicated meeting spaces have been intentionally designed to improve demo and training experiences for Traka customers and partners. The warehouse area, which is over three times larger than Traka’s previous location, will enable Traka Americas to address their increased inventory needs, increase production capacity, and create a new and improved product testing area to better respond to customer needs and product demands.

Traka first started U.S. operations in 2008, with only two staff members at a small office in Oviedo, FL. After more than 10 years of hard work and dedication, Traka USA has grown to over 30 employees across the United States, providing sales and support resources for all of the Americas and the Caribbean Islands.
