Your Role in Keeping the Future in Safe Hands…
The Business Development Manager – Europe is responsible for accelerating profitable growth by developing new business, executing regional go-to-market plans, and building an effective network of certified dealers, integrators and strategic partners. Based in Madrid, the role will initially focus on Spain and France, with the opportunity to support additional markets as the regional strategy develops. Working closely with the VP of Sales, Marketing & Support and global cross-functional teams, this highly autonomous role combines hands-on prospecting and deal execution with channel development, direct end-user engagement, market insight and disciplined forecasting.
What you will do…
European Market Development & Growth Strategy
• Develop and execute a regional business plan aligned to agreed sales objectives, market priorities and the broader Self-Storage growth strategy.
• Identify opportunities across new construction, retrofit, modernization and technology-upgrade projects; translate market intelligence into practical account and territory plans.
• Map owners, operators, strategic accounts, consultants and specifiers; build relationships with decision-makers and key influencers to establish PTI as a preferred solution.
• Represent PTI at targeted industry events, trade shows, partner meetings and executive-level customer engagements.
New Business & Channel Partnerships
• Own the new-business sales cycle from prospecting, discovery and solution positioning through proposals, negotiation and close, with accountability for profitable revenue and order growth.
• Identify, onboard and develop qualified dealers, installers, integrators and other strategic partners to build scalable regional market coverage.
• Cultivate direct end-user relationships and work with the consultant/specifier community to influence specifications, project selection and channel-generated demand.
• Support the certified channel with customer discovery, demonstrations, commercial coordination and responsive quotation and fulfilment processes.
• Support assigned existing accounts where needed to reinforce relationships, identify additional opportunities and strengthen market penetration.
Customer Experience, Product & Cross-Functional Delivery
• Coordinate high-touch support for early installations and market launches while enabling channel partners to build sustainable, independent delivery capability.
• Gather Voice of the Customer insights and competitive intelligence; communicate product localisation needs, feature requirements and improvement opportunities.
• Partner with Product Management, Marketing, Operations, Finance and Sales to support regional launches, product/SKU readiness, partner programmes and customer execution.
• Promote an efficient, consistent customer experience from initial engagement through installation, follow-up and account handover.
Pipeline, Forecasting & Sales Execution
• Maintain complete and accurate Salesforce records, including prospect and account information, opportunity stages, activities, values, timing and next steps.
• Provide reliable monthly and quarterly forecasts, maintain a healthy qualified pipeline, flag revenue risks early and execute corrective action plans.
• Communicate regional progress, commercial priorities and partner performance clearly to sales leadership, using data to guide decisions and focus.
What we expect of you…
