Visitors are welcome at A Seal to see the seals and the care thereof. In addition, the expo tells everything about the living environment of the seal. There are also regular exhibitions. The vast work at A Seal is done by volunteers. In total there are about 100 people working at A Seal.
An organization such as A Seal has to deal with keys and assets that require management, such as access to medication, money, specialist medical equipment and vehicles. It is also undesirable for unauthorized persons to have access to the animals. In the Netherlands, the seal is the largest natural wild predator.
A Seal has its own clinic, which is specifically designed for treating seals. They wanted to prevent unauthorized access to medicines and expensive medical equipment. Manually managing the keys and assets is time-consuming and risky. Karola van der Velde, manager at A Seal said;
With around 100 volunteers, a key sometimes got lost, but it was usually found again, but the time and frustration involved, not to mention the risks, has made us decide to opt for an automated key management system.
Traka21’s innovative plug and play system provide A Seal with the very latest in intelligent key management. Simple, efficient and cost-effective, Traka21 helps trace and account for every key or key set, which are individually locked in place, ensuring that critical business operations are never jeopardized.
The care of sick seals at A Seal starts in the early morning hours and ends well into the evening, and if necessary, care is also taken at night. Employees and volunteers, therefore, have access to keys 24/7, and only then to the keys to which they are authorized.
With so many volunteers working for A Seal, Traka21 is a user-friendly solution to this problem.
