Description:
Reporting to a Production Supervisior, this position is responsible for coordinating workflow to ensure operations are conducted safely, efficiently and of high quality. In addition, the Team Lead is accountable for ensuring that scheduled production is completed on time and meets all established quality standards. In addition, you may be assigned other duties or responsibilities, including work in other departments, to support overall company operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the safety and productivity of all employees assigned to designated shift
- Enforce all safety and processing procedures
- Effectively communicate between supervisors, management and operators
- Train new employees and coach existing employees
- Strong math, reading, organizational, and communication skills
- Carry out directives regarding work to be completed in a timely manner
- Promptly report any problem(s) related to material damage or shortages to Department Supervisor
Required Qualifications:
- Ability to be a team player
- Strong work ethic, using time productively to accomplish work goals
- Attention to detail; approaching work in a meticulous and thorough manner
- Demonstrate ability to plan and organize, establish priorities, and solve problems.
- Work quickly but accurately in a fast-paced environment to meet production demands
- Take and carry out directions effectively
- Accuracy in counting and measuring
- Computer Literacy - ERP System, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Outlook, and Microsoft Teams
Safety, Upkeep and Other Duties:
- Responsible to support and comply with Safety Programs
- Use of Personal Protective Gear
- Reporting injuries
- Wearing proper clothing and shoes
- Working in a safe manner
- Responsible for keeping both immediate and overall department work areas clean and organized.
- Work environment may include exposure to chemical materials and high noise areas.
- Must have a high consciousness for equipment safety.
- May be required to use various personal protective equipment (PPE) including ear plugs, respirators, gloves, safety glasses, etc.
Physical Requirements:
- Frequent reaching, bending, twisting, turning, and climbing.
- Ability to walk, stand, and climb stairs for extended periods.
- Work in various positions such as walking, standing, or sitting for prolonged durations.
- Exposure to indoor factory conditions and outdoor environments with varying temperatures.
- Job will require frequent physical activities such as climbing scaffolding/ladders, working at heights, confined space entry, standing or walking for extended durations, and lifting to 50lbs routinely
