Maintenance Technician

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on mechanical equipment.
  • Inspect, diagnose, and repair pumps, motors, compressors, gearboxes, valves, conveyors, and rotating equipment.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical failures and identify root causes of equipment breakdowns.
  • Conduct equipment alignment, balancing, lubrication, and calibration activities.
  • Replace defective components and perform overhauls as required.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, technical manuals, and equipment specifications.
  • Monitor equipment performance and recommend improvements to enhance reliability and efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, permit-to-work systems, and company HSE procedures.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and inspection reports using CMMS systems.
  • Support shutdowns, turnarounds, and maintenance projects.
  • Coordinate with production, engineering, and maintenance teams to minimize downtime.
  • Perform routine inspections to identify potential issues before equipment failure occurs.
  • Ensure proper housekeeping and maintenance of tools and workshop equipment.

 

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Diploma/ITI/Technical Certificate in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • 2–5+ years of maintenance experience in manufacturing or industrial environments.
  • Relevant certifications in safety, maintenance, or rotating equipment are advantageous.
