We are looking for an experienced Payroll Officer to join our Pacific and North East Asia Shared Services Payroll team on a permanent full-time basis.
About the Role
Reporting to the Group Payroll Lead, you will be responsible for the accurate and timely delivery of weekly payroll across Australia and New Zealand. While you will be part of a broader payroll function, this role is suited to someone who can operate with autonomy, manage competing priorities and take ownership of day-to-day payroll outcomes.
You will work closely with HR, Finance, operational leaders, employees and external providers to ensure payroll obligations are met and employees are paid accurately and on time.
Key responsibilities include:
- End-to-end weekly payroll processing across Australia and New Zealand
- Processing employee movements, allowances, deductions, leave and separation payments
- Maintaining accurate payroll, HRIS and time and attendance records across ADP, SuccessFactors and Tanda
- Responding to payroll enquiries from employees, managers and stakeholders in a timely and professional manner
- Preparing payroll reporting, reconciliations, month-end and year-end activities, including STP, payroll tax and superannuation obligations
- Investigating and resolving payroll discrepancies, system issues and data integrity matters
About You
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Experience in a payroll officer, payroll specialist or end-to-end payroll role
- Strong understanding of payroll legislation, Awards, Enterprise Agreements, taxation and superannuation requirements
- Experience working to strict payroll deadlines while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities and take ownership of payroll outcomes
- Experience using payroll systems such as ADP, with exposure to SuccessFactors and Tanda advantageous
- Clear communication skills and confidence working with employees, managers and internal stakeholders
