Job Summary:

This hands-on position will be an integral team member helping maximize production output, drive continuous manufacturing and assembly process improvement efforts, assisting with new product introductions, and assuring the effective utilization of equipment and materials while maintaining safety, quality and cost standards aimed at meeting customers’ quality, cost, and on-time delivery expectations

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct preventive maintenance to mechanical devices 
  • Detect malfunctions through observation (sound or visual) 
  •  Run diagnostic tests to ensure system functionality
  •  Repair broken or faulty machine parts
  •  Perform emergency repairs
  •  Choose appropriate materials based on mechanical needs
  •  Align and calibrate machine parts
  •  Monitor and report on project progress
  •  Follow safety rules and regulations
  •  Conducts lift truck, confined space, and rigging training
  • Develop, implement, and maintain processes and equipment to support production.
  • Provide operational and technical support.
  • Ensure product quality during transfer from engineering to production, including design and process validation.
  • Resolve highly complex technical mechanical, electrical & electro-mechanical issues.
  • Troubleshoot manufacturing and assembly line issues along with quality and offer support.
  • Analyze, develop, evaluate, implement, improve, and document manufacturing equipment, tooling, processes, and products.
  • Collaborate with planning and R&D design staff concerning product design and tooling to ensure efficient production processes.
  • Assist with analyzing and planning work force utilization, space requirements, and workflow and design layout of equipment and workspace for optimum efficiency and safety.

    Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

    • Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
    • Write routine reports and correspondence.
    • Speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
    • Add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
    • Compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
    • Apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
    • Experience in investigating and implementing effective countermeasures.
    • Strong knowledge of product BOM structure creation, modification, routings as well as parts maintenance, i.e., change notices and action.
    • Experience in NetSuite systems is preferred.

      Minimum Requirements:

      • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in a related field.
      • Understanding GD&T including geometric dimensioning and tolerances.
