Product Coordinator
PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
We are looking for a highly motivated and technically minded Product Coordinator to join our Product Department. This role is ideal for an individual who is passionate about CCTV, Access Control, and integrated security solutions, and who wants to play a key role in supporting product growth, technical excellence, and solution design.
The successful candidate will become the internal subject matter expert for all our Intrusion, CCTV and Access Control product ranges, supporting sales teams, evaluating new products, assisting with specifications, and investigating quality concerns.
This role bridges the gap between Product Management, Technical Support, Sales, and Business Development and offers excellent career growth opportunities within the Product Management function.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Product Expertise & Technical Support
- Develop and maintain expert knowledge of all product ranges.
- Provide product recommendations and technical guidance to internal teams and customers.
- Support branches, sales teams, and technical staff with product-related queries.
Solution Design & Specifications
- Assist with CCTV and Access Control system design.
- Verify product compatibility and solution suitability for customer requirements.
Product Testing & Evaluation
- Evaluate and test new bought out products before introduction to the market.
- Reproduce, test, and verify faults reported by customers or technical teams.
- Maintain records of product defects, improvements, and corrective actions.
- Identify recurring issues and recommend solutions.
Training Support
- Work closely with the Training Coordinator to ensure product knowledge is effectively transferred throughout the business.
- Provide product onboarding support for internal staff.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Matric
- 2–5 years' experience within the electronic security industry.
- Experience with CCTV, Access Control, or integrated security solutions.
- Experience in product support, technical support, system design, or product management will be advantageous.
TECHINICAL KNOWLEDGE
- Strong understanding of:
- CCTV systems
- IP networking
- NVRs and video management systems
- Access Control systems
