What would you do as a member of our Team?
You will play a key role in the production process of our hollow metal doors and frames. You will work collaboratively with our team to ensure the efficient and accurate manufacturing of our products, maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety. This position offers an opportunity to learn and develop skills in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
You would also:
- Promote and maintain a safe working environment by following all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and ASSA ABLOY safety standards.
- Set up, operate, and monitor machinery such as presses, CNC equipment, or other production machines according to established procedures.
- Read and interpret work orders, blueprints, and production specifications.
- Perform routine adjustments and minor troubleshooting to ensure optimal machine performance.
- Inspect parts and finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
- Use measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, or gauges to verify product dimensions.
- Maintain production records and document operational data as required.
- Perform preventative maintenance and basic equipment care.
- Keep work area clean, organized, and compliant with 5S standards.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and lean manufacturing efforts.
- Collaborate with team members, maintenance personnel, and supervisors to resolve production issues.
- Perform other duties as assigned to meet operational needs.
The Skills and Experience you need:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent / Technical certification or relevant experience is a plus.
- Previous machine operation experience
- Ability to carry 5-30 pounds without assistance
- Ability to read manufacturing or shop drawings
- Ability to use and read a tape measure
- Available to work overtime
