As our ASSISTANT MAINTENANCE MANAGER you’ll support HID’s success by:
Summary
Asst. Maintenance Manager to assist Maintenance Manager and accountable for the effective and efficient coordination and execution of maintenance operations necessary to maintain all production machinery and equipment, in order to, ensure the most efficient & safe production operations possible. Role in connecting field operations with the maintenance organization, responsible to minimize the machine downtime and failure rates and maximize equipment productivity. Also undertake scheduled and breakdown maintenance of production equipment in respective Value Stream Cell(s) (VSC).
Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Manage and supervise a group of Engineers & Technicians.
- To support and ensure site objectives to an active working plan to realize OEE, cost and delivery targets.
- Work as part of the Management team to share ideas and improve operations by recommending supporting and implementing continuous improvement activities focusing on OEE improvements.
- Standardize improvements via SOP creation.
- Prepare and share Maintenance requirements (e.g. SMED, MTTR, MTBF) for new process and equipment development projects.
- Develop and maintain a Planned Preventative Maintenance(PPM) schedule, ensure full preventative maintenance is carried out, plan in missed maintenance activities, and lead the team to deliver effectively
- Consistently promote high standards through personal example and roll out through the team so that each member of the team understands the standards and behaviors expected of them
- To ensure that the function operates in accordance with any health, safety and environmental policies and procedures.
- To maintain all machinery or equipment to ensure it’s at working standards.
- To maintain Maintenance procedures and ensure comply to ISO standard .
- To support and provide technical expertise to the team and other support function
- Responding immediately to machines breakdowns and dealing with emergencies, unplanned problems and repairs
- Ensure KPIs are met by working to the overall plan, including management of, and reporting.
- Support PFMEA during development and change projects.
- Undertake continuous training and development to team
- To coordinate with external provider such of supplier and vendor for machine servicing & purchasing tooling, jig, fixture and spare part or other maintenance work.
- Manage, coach and develop a high performing Maintenance team that meets agreed objectives and which delivers best practice results, added value and continuous improvements
- Any other task that assigned by Maintenance Manager.
Others Responsibilities :
- Ensure all activities are performed in a manner that does not create unnecessary environment impacts.
- Monitor and ensure compliance to environment operational controls and compliance with applicable legal and other requirement.
- Communicate clear roles and responsibility for environmental control.
Qualifications

Education and/or Experience
- Degree/Diploma/Certificate/SPM/SPVM holder in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical and Electronics)
- Practitioner on continuous improvement technique e.g, sig sixma, kaizen, poka yoke SMED ,Lean.
- Experience 3 - 5 years of working experience in the engineering field/operation/ manufacturing environment.
- Experience in planning and implementation for the Preventive Maintenance on the Mechanical, Pneumatic and Electronic components.
- Good knowledge in Robotics, PLC, AutoCAD and Solid works is an advantage.
- Familiar working with CMMS, OEE analysis & Microsoft Power BI
Language Skills
- Ability to effectively communicate in the English language verbally and in writing.
- Ability to read and interpret technical journals, specifications, international technical standards, etc.
- Must have the ability to perform additions, subtractions, etc.
Computer Skills
- Proficient in MS Office applications, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
- Familiar with operating systems, such as Windows, etc.
Other Skills
- Ability to adapt to new technology, new processes, and new approaches in an environment of continuous improvement
- Excellent leadership and man management skills
- Ability to manage a variety of cross-functional team members
- Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
- Competent in problem solving, team building, planning and decision making
