Options

The Options are an extensive list of optional features that can be provided with the Traka cabinets. They require cabinet firmware upgrades which in turn automatically activate the relevant Traka32 screens or reports to appear.

The Options activate the Traka cabinet LCD to prompt the user to respond to relevant questions. So for example Mileage Logging will ask for the user to key in the vehicle mileage as the key is returned. This is logged in the database, so that an accurate history of mileage by user is maintained. Options include Bay Logging, Fuel level logging, Reason Code logging etc.

The options also include more detailed user input such as Fault Logging. For this option the user keys in a pre determined code as he returns the key to reflect a problem perhaps detected whilst using a vehicle. This code might indicate a problem with the brakes, steering, tyres etc. If a critical code, the iFob will then be locked into place, preventing another operative from taking the dangerous equipment. At the same time, subject to communication, Traka32 will log this fault allowing the maintenance staff to see the faulty equipment, time fault reported, name of user etc. Maintenance can then respond, fix the vehicle and use the software to record the work completed. Once fixed, the Traka32 software will release the vehicle back into normal operation. This outstanding feature has improved the efficiency of many fleets and at the same time ensured that faulty equipment is not used in a dangerous state.
