Queen's Award

The Queen's Award for Enterprise is the highest honour that can be bestowed upon a British company and is the UK's top award for business performance. Traka is proud to have been awarded this accolade on three separate occasions, the latest being The Queen's Award for Enterprise: Innovation 2012.The award is given annually by Her Majesty the Queen and the winning companies hold it for five years.

Traka was first awarded The Queen's Award in 2004, for the company's outstanding achievement in Innovation; it then went on to win again in 2008 for its high levels of Overseas Trade. Traka's intelligent products are now securing billions of pounds worth of assets around the world. They are used by commercial, government and military organisations in applications including automotive dealers, casinos, hospitals, mines, secure establishments and distribution centres.

The Traka systems now proudly display The Queen's Award logo. This logo symbolises the achievement of Traka over the last few years culminating in the company being given the award in 2004, 2008 and again in 2012.

The Queen's Award scheme was introduced in 1966, originally as The Queen's Award to Industry before becoming known as The Queen's Award for Enterprise in 1999. Her Majesty The Queen makes the awards on the advice of the Prime Minister, who is assisted by an advisory committee that includes representatives of government, industry and commerce, and the trade unions. They are announced on 21st April, The Queen's personal birthday.
